TREATMENTS FOR ALL GRASS TYPES
(FESCUE, BERMUDA, ZOYSIA, CENTIPEDE) 

Fertilization
We use only the highest quality fertilizers to achieve beautiful results. Because Acres of Green is a locally owned and operated company we have the ability to purchase our products on a daily basis. This benefits our customers because we can be agile enough to change our product analysis depending on Mother Nature.


Weed Control

Pre-emergent (Crabgrass Preventative)
We use the most effective pre-emergent on the market. This product will control crabgrass and other grassy weeds throughout the summer. 

Post-emergent
For post-emergent weed control we use various products specifically designed for all of your problematic weeds. We will apply the most advanced products available based on the season and the type of weeds in your lawn.


Soil Conditioning
Lime and Gypsum are applied throughout the summer months to condition soil.


Power Seeding (Turf Type Tall Fescue)

Slit Seeding
This is a method of seeding wherein we spread seed across the lawn and cut it in with a machine most analogous with a ground saw in that it slices the soil open to create a seed bed. Slit seeding is most often used on very dry soil, new lawns and/or heavily thatched areas.

Aeration/Seeding
Some lawns require the use of aerators to create a seed bed. This is different than simple aeration. When we use aerators as a seeding tool it is comparable to using a light tiller as it churns up the soil allowing a place for seed to lodge and germinate.

Aeration 
Aerating soil allows water and air to reach the root system which helps your lawn look its best.
